Job Description
  • Analyze customer collections received at NSC to ensure complete information and timely payment application
  • Review funds, cash desk reports, and cheque batches for accuracy before processing. Follow-up for additional details if needed
  • Confirm daily deposits of customer collections from PC and credit departments, ensuring proper referencing in bank statements
  • Scan cheques into Alloc8 for processing and Cheque Pro for depositing funds in the bank. Ensure batches balance daily
  • Report unapplied EFT and Online collections daily to credit departments and PC teammates
  • Monthly bank reconciliations to balance all deposited amounts against applied amounts
  • Analyze cash application suspense account and correct errors daily
  • Build and maintain positive relationships internally and externally
  • Create training materials for PC teammates and Profit Centre Managers
  • Identify deviations from standards and proactively address with Profit Centre teammates
  • Develop strong relationships with Emco's credit departments
  • Support credit department's understanding of application process and customer account reconciliations
  • Respond to inquiries within 24 hours in cash application support inbox
Qualifications
  • University Degree or College Diploma in Accounting or equivalent work experience
  • Strong communication skills to convey complex concepts effectively
  • Proven time-management skills in handling multiple priorities
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively, building and maintaining relationships
  • Detail-oriented with strong customer service skills
  • Problem-solving ability and data analysis skills
  • Comfortable challenging the status quo and identifying improvement opportunities
  • Bilingual in French and English is an asset
