Eaton's ES AMER PCS CA division is currently seeking a Business Unit Manager, CPDI. This position will be based in our Toronto location (75%) and our Burlington location (25%).

What you'll do:

PRIMARY FUNCTION


As a member of the senior leadership team, the Business Unit Manager, CPDI is responsible for leading the Critical Power and Digital Infrastructure (CPDI) business in Canada.

The position is accountable for delivering profitable growth as defined by the strategic plan for the Commercial, Operations, Services and Supply Chain teams as well as matrixed managed relationships with all business units.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provide strategic direction and lead the activities of the Canadian CPDI business toward achieving sales, profit and growth goals while continually improving quality, operational efficiencies and customer service levels;
  • Serve as key interface with internal and external stakeholders, sales force, logistics, plants, product division management, services and functional support staff.
  • Develop and manage a forwardlooking profit plan; coupled with monthly reviews of forecasts to ensure that the overall business is on track to meeting and optimizing its objectives.
  • Develop an annual strategic plan (long term outlook) to determine growth and profit opportunities within the function. Conduct ongoing analysis of target markets, trends and significant issues providing direction for the profit and strategic planning processes.
  • Foster a zeroincident safety culture through deployment of environment, health and safety initiatives and safetyfocused leadership.
  • Cultivate a highperformance work culture through engagement and performance management activities, communications and positive employee relations.
  • Sponsor a competitive and balanced talent strategy focused on attracting, retaining, and developing top talent, and intentionally moving talent to build broader capabilities, enhance the succession pipeline and share best practices.
  • Champion process improvement and business development projects to drive the CPDI business towards bestinclass excellence while ensuring that projects are executed on time, within budget, with associated cost savings and no customer impact

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum (10) years of experience in sales / marketing, operations, engineering or as a combination of noted disciplines
  • Minimum (5) years of progressive experience as a leader of people
  • Possess a valid driver's license
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited educational institution, in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing or Manufacturing discipline.
  • Master's Degree, preferably in Business Administration

Skills:

Position Criteria:

  • Successfully proven leadership capabilities including experience leading crossfunctional teams through influence
  • Broad understanding of marketing and business planning, as well as management of a large fiscal entity
  • Strong financial acumen and effective decisionmaking skills with understanding of financial impact of operations and business decisions
  • Sound experience as well as understanding of market channel relationships and processes
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the UPS and service industry, products and solutions
  • Good working knowledge of the overall sales function, customer channels to market, and negotiation techniques to maximize growth opportunities
  • Knowledge of UPS products, logistics and field service practices and procedures, employee relations and quality programs
  • Demonstrated ability in navigating through complexity and ambiguity towards achieving strong business results
  • Travel as necessary, up to ~25%
