Project

The Woodfibre LNG Project is located approximately 7 km west-southwest of Squamish, British Columbia. It involves the construction and operation of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility on the previous Woodfibre pulp mill site, which would have a storage capacity of 250,000 m3 and would produce approximately 2.1 million tons per year of LNG. Woodfibre Management Ltd. is a privately held Canadian company based in Vancouver and a subsidiary of Pacific Energy Corporation Limited.

Position

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing generalist support in all the following areas: recruitment, employee relations, compensation and benefits, employee benefits, performance management, training and development, and systems administration. As a member of the Human Resources team, the HR Generalist will provide broad generalist support across WLNG to employees and the company on HR services and programs including the development of initiatives and programs that help support the organization's goals. The successful candidate reports directly to Snr. HR Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform HR activities around employment, compensation, training, and development.
  2. Prepare and maintain company salary structure, job documentation, and job evaluation systems.
  3. Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new-hire orientations, and exit interviews, including data entry in human resources information systems (HRIS) and audits for accuracy and compliance.
  4. Be responsible for the organization and maintenance of personnel records, including but not limited to the creation of new employee files, upkeeping of existing employee records, and the processing of terminated employees. ...
Requirements

Required Experience: Minimum of 5 years of direct experience working on the above-referenced accountabilities. Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field. A Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) is preferred or working toward. In-depth knowledge of Provincial and Federal Employment Legislation and Compliance. Proficiency in MS Office 365, MS Teams, DocuSign, HRIS, and other relevant software. Workday HCM and ADP experience is a plus.

Additional Requirements: Ability to work independently, multi-task efficiently with high attention to detail, and handle information in a sensitive manner as required. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal. Excellent organizational, critical thinking, and analytical skills. Experience working with large multi-disciplinary teams and contractors in a multicultural environment is an asset. Accepts responsibility and demonstrates a commitment to the delivery of tasks and targets. Motivated and willing to take ownership of tasks. Shares knowledge readily and encourages personal development. As required, the position is based in Vancouver Office. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
