As a Surveillance Specialist, your work will have a big impact in our Investigative Services Unit. Adjusters will count on you to conduct physical surveillance to provide clarity on potentially fraudulent claims.


This opportunity is a hybrid position involving field work, however, administrative duties from home and within the Edmonton Office will also be required.

Work collaboratively with the investigative services and adjusting teams to manage, detect, and prevent insurance fraud
Conduct single vehicle surveillance of claimants, including static, foot and mobile
Prepare evidentiary reports and present evidence at legal proceedings as required
Take impeccable notes, along with in-depth surveillance logs and ensure the continuity of evidence
Use digital media management to transfer the evidence into evidentiary format and compile detailed reports
Provide team members and managers with appropriate updates and information on any potential fraud trends
Maintain surveillance equipment, including surveillance fleet, cameras, kit, etc. Work a flexible schedule. Surveillance Specialists are regularly tasked to travel for extended periods, often on short notice with irregular working hours
Military/Police/Fire/Criminal Justice or claims handling experience
Knowledge of policy wordings, privacy laws, criminal codes
Experience in digital media management, Adobe Premiere, or other editing software
Ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines, and re-evaluate these priorities on an on-going basis
Valid Drivers License with a good driving record
