Your Opportunity:

Description:

As a Procurement Specialist II, you will perform complex purchasing functions consistent with established AHS procurement policies, practices, laws, and trade agreements.

You will be responsible for the acquisition of supplies, minor equipment, services or supporting functions within assigned work groups.

You will perform the acquisition process primarily for purchases of a transactional nature which includes researching/collating information, preparation of requests for quotations, review of quotations, creation of purchase agreements, and issuance of purchase orders.

Under the direction of the Manager, you will coordinate and monitor assigned team purchasing activities; acts as a source of knowledge by answering questions, providing technical advice, and assisting in the training of staff.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

Completion of a 4-year post-secondary degree (Bachelor's and/or Masters) with a focus on Supply Chain Management.

Demonstrated understanding of purchasing fundamentals including Logistics, Supply Chain Management (SCM), Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) through enrollment or completion of a supply chain management designation (e.g., SCMP).

Experience in EPIC and/or Meditech. A combination of both education and experience will also be considered.
