Position Overview:


We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist who thrives in a dynamic, hands on, small team environment and fosters our culture of collaboration and getting things done.


Location:

  • This is a hybrid role with minimum one day per week in our Kitchener office. Typically, our Finance team works on site on Wednesdays (Wednesday lunch is provided)

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and build relationships with key stakeholders within Sales, Legal, IT, Operations, and Finance teams
  • Ensure that supplier invoices are processed within 7 days of receipt, and that discrepancies are reviewed promptly with key stakeholders
  • Conduct regular supplier reconciliations of key accounts as directed by the Controller
  • Provide prompt replies to supplier inquiries and support transparent stakeholder relationships & engagement
  • Support vendor master data reconciliations & proactively identify missing data and work to resolve
  • Assist in annual financial audit by preparing working papers and data collection
  • Support cash forecasting and cash management activities, as needed

Key Requirements & Experience:

  • A minimum of 4 years working experience as an Accounts Payable Professional (or equivalent)
  • Professional experience in the manufacturing and/or technology industries
  • Superior knowledge of Excel, reporting tools, and ERP Systems; Epicor experience is an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt with a high degree of accuracy in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Willingness to take initiative and be proactive with limited direction
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Successfully complete preemployment onboarding requirements that may include criminal/civil background checks
