The sales representative is accountable for selling the products of the Resisto division in their assigned area. This role involves finding new customers, educating and retaining current ones. The representative must ensure they achieve the sales and profit goals set by their supervisor.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and nurture strong business relationships with current customers. Introduce new and existing products to clients within the territory.
  • Identify new markets and customers to drive long-term growth for Resisto.
  • Create a strategic business plan to meet and surpass sales targets and budgets set by the Resisto management team.
  • Address the needs of current and potential clients to uncover new market opportunities.
  • Establish a plan to cultivate lasting relationships with distributors, dealers, and contractors.
  • Conduct product knowledge sessions for dealers, distributors, and contractors, including hands-on training.
  • Regularly analyze competitors to enhance understanding of their business strategies. Maintain a database of competitor products and market prices.
  • Participate in annual trade shows, contractor events, and internal meetings. This may involve evening and weekend commitments.
  • Oversee promotions, product launches, technical updates, market trends, and price adjustments to keep clients updated.
  • Arrange and manage product displays in customers' stores following company standards (Merchandising). Some heavy lifting may be necessary.
  • Offer ongoing technical support to customers.
  • Follow a set call cycle involving day and overnight travel to maintain customer relationships.
  • Complete regular reports (sales activities, expenses, etc.) and utilize a CRM system daily as required.
  • Receive comprehensive training from Resisto/Soprema, but self-learning is crucial for this role.

YOUR EDUCATION:

  • Preferably post-secondary education.

YOUR EXPERIENCE:

  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Familiarity with the construction industry.
  • Background in roofing, waterproofing, residential construction, or building material retail sales.

YOUR SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • Self-motivated and highly organized.
  • Proficient in computer skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Determined, ambitious, and with a strong passion for achievement.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Full-time permanent position.
  • Territorial travel by vehicle, may involve occasional overnight stays.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Requires some heavy lifting of products.
