About This Role

The team is looking for a seasoned Project Manager responsible for the life-cycle of training program, courseware content, projects to ensure compliance, innovation, perpetual improvement based on business unit and corporate needs.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Product Management

  • Contribute to definition of market needs and competitive landscape
  • Contribute to internal and external proposals in collaboration with Sales team
  • Contribute to courseware roadmap

Project Execution

  • Manage projects for the development of civil courseware material for use in aviation industry.
  • Work with diverse project teams composed typically of Instructional System Designers (ISD), Courseware Developers (CWD), Multimedia Developers (MMD), and Subject Matter Experts (SME) to design and deliver global training course material for Instructor Led Training (ILT) and Computer-Based Training (CBT)
  • Manage the human, financial and operational resources necessary to meet contractual and company related obligations of the project to ensure profitability
  • Own the entire project lifecycle from initiation, through planning, design, build, test, implementation, and closure
  • Create project charter, project management plan, schedule, risk assessment/mitigation plans, and other plans, as needed
  • Resolve project work/scheduling problems by reprioritizing activities.
  • Maintain and communicate project status reports, project plans, and issues
  • Provide reporting throughout the project life cycle, including project management reviews (PMR)

Leadership

  • Act as primary liaison with customer on project matters including negotiations and securing customer acceptance.
  • Discuss alternative solutions with customer including contractual changes.
  • Deliver results which achieve lasting satisfaction with customer and achieve financial goals.
  • Recommend and participate in improvement initiatives
  • Ability to resolve difficult, complex or unusual matters or decisions.
  • Provide training and mentoring to junior Project Managers

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 to 8 years' project management experience, aviation project management is a plus
  • Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken), strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with global and multi-cultural teams
  • Experience developing strong customer relationships and managing customer expectations
