The Nitty Gritty:


Big Viking Games is on the hunt for an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team on a _full-time contract_ basis.

This position will be reporting to the Director of HR & People Operations and will be responsible for two client groups, Big Viking games and our sister organization that is also in tech and gaming.


The Role:
This is a _full-time contract position_ with the potential for extension and/or conversion to full-time employee based on performance.

Requirements:

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand job requirements and develop effective recruitment strategies.
  • Manage the fullcycle recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and extending offers.
  • Develop and maintain a strong network of industry contacts and talent pipelines.
  • Track and analyze recruitment metrics to identify areas of improvement and measure the effectiveness of recruitment efforts.
  • Maintain uptodate knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and legal compliance related to talent acquisition.
  • Prior experience participating in job fairs, networking events, and other recruitment activities to promote the organization as an employer of choice.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in software (gaming preferred) talent acquisition
  • Proven success in managing fullcycle recruitment processes.
  • Strong knowledge of various recruitment tools, platforms, and best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational and timemanagement abilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fastpaced, teamoriented environment.
  • Strong track record of closing multiple requisitions within a set timeframe.
  • Large Canadian sourcing network for in demand engineering and technical roles.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations related to talent acquisition.
