Inventory Analyst

SUMMARY:

The Inventory Analyst is responsible for managing consigned inventory and general warehouse stock.

The Inventory Analyst collaborates with the Customer Service and Sales teams to review and manage zero on hand, analyze & adjust minimum and maximums stocking levels at the warehouse branches & with customers.

The Inventory Analyst is also responsible for collaborating with the sales management on special inventory needs or requirements and provides summaries and/or analysis based on the Recalculation Report.

Tasks also include analyzing minimums and maximums, assuring vending accounts are meeting customer's inventory needs, reviewing fluctuations in inventory use, generating inventory reports, reconciliations and problem solving any issues of stocking levels reported from customer service.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with sales, customer service and the customer with zeroonhand, minimums and maximums and stocking levels
  • Procure vending expedite reports when required
  • Assure vending accounts meet customer needs; assess overstocked or dead stock report information with the sales rep
  • Collaborate with sales reps across the country to review special customer requirements or needs
  • Review fluctuations in inventory use and production in collaboration with sales and customer service
  • Generate inventory reports through ERP system
  • Receive information from customer service; evaluate and troubleshoot any issues with stock levels
  • Research and perform customer vending returns
  • Inform Inventory & Procurement Manager of the location and quantity of possible item returns
  • Analyze and review item warehouse velocity to recommend stock status changes and purchase path changes
  • Appoint items status as nonstocking or stocking
  • Perform any general needs for consigned inventory along with special projects as required by management
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Reports to the Inventory & Purchasing Manager

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • 2+ years of related inventory management experience a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or certification equivalency preferred
  • Work independently or as part of a team, changing gears when required, and multitasking
  • Ability to analyze inventory data and plan appropriate stocking levels
  • Strong problem solving and analytical thinking, planning, prioritization and execution skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills; selfstarter and selfdisciplined
  • Sound judgment and shrewd decisionmaking skills
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask
  • Excellent computer skills: Internet Research and intermediate to advanced MS office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and data entry is required
  • Work under pressure of deadlines while maintaining a professional attitude and calm demeanor
  • Accuracy and attention to detail required
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision
  • Strong customer service focus
