Richmond School District operates 37 elementary schools, 10 secondary schools, alternate programs, continuing education and a number of additional facilities.

The District Behaviour Specialist will provide direct support to students with diverse abilities and disabilities requiring Intensive Behavioural Intervention.

All positions within Learning Services engage in supporting the District's Strategic Plan, specifically, Strategic Priority 1:
Inspired Learners and Strategic Priority 2: Equity and Inclusion.
assists with the development, monitoring, and implementation of individual Positive Behaviour Support plans for students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs
assists in the development, monitoring, and implementation of Employee Safety Plans
provides consultation and direct support to school teams in developing and implementing effective interventions for students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs
consults and collaborates with community partners and parents/guardians to support students' social, emotional, and behavioural needs
provides training and in-service to school and district staff (e.g. paraprofessionals, teachers, and principals/vice principals, etc.)
Master's degree in Inclusive or Special Education/Social Work/Psychology/Behaviour Analysis or equivalent
Experience in a setting which supports students in need of intensive social, emotional and behavioural support
Working knowledge of behaviour intervention strategies including Functional Behaviour Assessment, Functional Analysis and Positive Behaviour Support Planning
