Position Overview:


The Public Relations Specialist will be responsible for overseeing media relations, creating media plans, writing, and distribute press releases, conduct media monitoring and research, develop media statements, and build strong relationship with journalists.

Please find the key responsibilities of the Public Relations Specialist as follows:

  • Develops and maintains relationships with media outlets, bloggers, and influences across multiple platforms.
  • Develops and implements effective media plans that align with company objectives and target audience.
  • Writes compelling and engaging content, including press release, articles, and social media posts.
  • Monitors media coverage and measure the effectiveness of media campaigns to adjust strategy as needed.
  • Identifies and capitalizes on opportunities for interviews, speaking engagements and other media appearances.
  • Provides media training and support to company spokespeople.
  • Develops and maintains crisis communication plans; including but not limited to, standard media statements and procedures
  • Stays up to date on industry trends, competitor activities, and media best practices to inform and improve public relations strategies
  • Bachelor's degree in public relations, Communication, Journalism, or related field
  • Demonstrated success in securing media coverage and building relationships with media outlets, bloggers, and influences
  • 35 years of experience in PR, preferably in the natural health industry, with a portfolio of successful campaigns and coverage
  • Strong understanding of digital media and social media platforms
  • Professional working proficiency in the English Language
  • Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suit and media monitoring tools
