Manager, Product Support Marketing & Communications

What is the opportunity?

What will you do?

  • Lead and manage the production of all quarterly retail newsletters and annual product notifications for the RBC branch retail channel. This includes ensuring content aligns with business strategies/focus and working across various internal RBC partners/BUs in the content development.
  • Develop, execute and/or produce product support materials and tactics as it relates to our key priorities to enhance sales force capability and drive sales results including:
  • Product sales support and communications related to RBC Portfolio Solutions.
  • Other adhoc product/investment communications related to regulatory, market outlook, and/or product changes across all investments solutions offered by RBC GAM
  • Collaborate with our sales teams and business partners by proactively responding/seeking feedback to improve or develop new communications to meet the needs of advisors and investors.
  • Proactively review relevance and effectiveness of materials through web analytics and sales team feedback to gauge impact, usefulness and continuously improve content to optimize for greater impact to the business (i.e. improve efficiency, reduce costs and/or provide a better client experience)

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

  • 5+ year marketing experience within the investment industry
  • Strong investment product knowledge of mutual funds and industryrelated support experience
  • Strong project management skills & the ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Demonstrated knowledge of common marketing processes including, but not limited to, development of marketing briefs, print production, and managing overall material development.
  • Detail oriented and excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Above average ability with Microsoft Office tools, including Adobe Acrobat writer

Nice to Have

  • University degree in business or marketing or an equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job
  • Frontline sales experience or industryrelated sales/support experience for investment dealers
  • Completion of Canadian Securities Course or mutual fund licence.
