The Company:


Benson Lock has been in business for over 30 years and provides locksmith services to considerable companies within the GTA.


The Position:


We're seeking a motivated individual who envisions themselves as a future locksmith technician to join our team Learn the trade, gain valuable experience, and progress toward becoming a locksmith technician through specific training from our senior locksmith technicians.

Employees will be required to commute to our head office located in Richmond Hill Monday through Friday and travel using a company-provided vehicle to various work locations across the GTA to complete work for our valued customers.

Pay will be determined on experience and will range from $17.00/hr - $24.00/hr.

Responsibilities:

  • You will work independently and as part of a team, responding to customer requests and completing service calls at various locations throughout the GTA
  • Repair and install various types of locks, including deadbolts, Mortise locks, keypad locks, and electronic access control systems
  • Respond to emergency lockouts and reentry requests for residential, commercial, and industrial properties
  • Install and troubleshoot automatic door operators
  • Perform key cutting, pin rekeying, and Master key system setup

Requirements:

  • Some experience working in the construction industry and/or with door hardware is preferred
  • Valid driver's license (clean abstract)
  • Must know and be comfortable with the use of various power/hand tools
  • Honest and reliable
  • Comfortable and willing to drive to various locations across the GTA to complete work
(vehicle provided by company)

  • High attention to detail, excellent workmanship
  • Problemsolving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Basic computer skills and comfortable using a work order cellphonebased app to complete jobs throughout the day
  • First aid certificate/WHMIS/Fall arrest not required but is an asset
