Job Title: Glass Installer

Join Metro Hardware and Maintenance as a skilled Glass Installer to work on various projects, including window and door installations, glass repairs, and glazing services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine the type of glass, frames, and materials required for each project
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand work requirements
  • Measure, mark, and cut glass to fit specific needs
  • Position and secure panes in frames, ensuring proper alignment and sealing
  • Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors, or glass products
  • Install door and window hardware, including handles, hinges, and locks
  • Repair glass doors and other glass structures, ensuring safety and functionality
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages, using proper safety equipment
  • Collaborate with other technicians and supervisors to complete projects efficiently
Requirements:
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in glass installation, glazing, or a related field
  • Permanent employment with a regular schedule of 30-40 hours per week
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and adapting to changing priorities
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
Language:

English is the primary language of communication in this role.
