Job Title: Glass Installer

We are seeking a skilled Glass Installer to join our team at METRO HARDWARE AND MAINTENANCE.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing glass products, including windows, doors, and mirrors, in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine the type of glass, frames, and materials required for each installation
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Measure, mark, and cut glass to ensure a precise fit
  • Position and secure panes in frames, ensuring a watertight seal
  • Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors, or glass products
  • Install door, window, and other hardware, ensuring proper alignment and function
  • Repair glass doors and other glass structures, using specialized tools and techniques
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages, using proper safety equipment
  • Operate man-lift mobile equipment, cranes, and other lifting equipment, following safety protocols
Requirements:
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field
  • Permanent employment
  • English language proficiency
  • Ability to work 30 to 40 hours per week
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment, requiring the ability to lift heavy loads, stand for extended periods, and work at heights.
