In this position, you will play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining safety programs, overseeing safety audits, providing training on safety best practices, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Your objective will be to promote a robust safety culture within Race Winning Brands' operations in Detroit.

This role directly reports to the Corporate EH&S Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee regional safety programs to enhance safety measures.
  • Conduct thorough safety audits to identify and address potential hazards.
  • Investigate safety incidents, determine causes, and implement preventive actions.
  • Provide safety training covering topics such as hazard identification and emergency response.
  • Stay informed on safety regulations like OSHA and ensure compliance in all operations.
  • Maintain accurate safety documentation and reports.
  • Collaborate with managers and employees to foster a safe work environment.
  • Organize safety campaigns to reinforce a safety-oriented culture.
  • Promote ownership and commitment to safety among managers and employees.
  • Encourage employee engagement in safety practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health (OSH) or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in a safety role, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Advanced Certification preferred, such as CSP, ASP, CIH.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing, implementing, and managing safety programs.
  • Thorough understanding of safety regulations like OSHA and EPA.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Willingness to travel regionally as necessary.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
