As part of the ONxpress consortium, Alstom is proudly working to transform the collective mobility of the Greater Toronto and Hamilton areas (GTHA) through the On-Corridor Works project, and we are hiring for hundreds of roles.


The GO Expansion scope:

new electric locomotives, fleet upgrades, train control systems, network electrification, signalling, telecommunications and digital systems, maintenance, and much more.


Objective

  • Coordinate all access to execute Installation activities, in close cooperation with the Customer, the Alstom Installation Team within the Signaling Installation scope and any third party contractors
  • Ensure delivery and quality of the documentation in compliance with signaling strategies.

Responsibilities
In compliance to EHS (Zero Deviation) and Regulatory standards:

  • Manage the booking of worksites through the Possession Planning System and represent Alstom at possession planning meetings when required.
  • Ensure all documentation is prepared and issued prior to commencement of all site works.
  • Ensure that all access requirements are planned and delivered in accordance with local regulations
  • Work with Metrolinx and any third parties to resolve any access conflicts
  • Ensure planned possessions meet programme and operational requirements.
  • Review work content with planning, project management team and client to ensure access plan is understood and suitable to task.
  • Ensure all access to the rail infrastructure is planned in accordance with Alstom and Metrolinx's processes.
  • Assist in the provision of site specific information packs for Task PIC's.
  • Represent Alstom at access review, planning review, whiteboard and production meetings as required.

Performance measurements

  • QCDP (quality, cost, delivery and performance)
  • Savings through Risk mitigation and Opportunities management
  • Quality, EHS, RSA (Railway Safety Agencies): monitoring, anticipation and reporting on progress and issues

Education & Experience

  • Engineering degree level or equivalent education and experiences
  • 10+ years of experience in field activities
  • Certification on Railway Safety preferred
  • Certification on Site EHS management preferred
  • Strong experience on railway site management
  • Cost and planning control experience in site management scope
  • Knowledge of Railway products and services on different market segments (Urban, Mainline, F&M)
  • Experience of management by Quality, Cost and Delivery objectives
  • Knowledge of contract conditions
  • Understanding of planning process
  • Knowledge of risk assessment process
  • Knowledge of EHS regulations
  • Handson experience on Customer relationship in technical topics
