**Summary: **You will be responsible for managing the billing process for the Legal department, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations, and providing accurate and timely reports and analysis. You will work closely with the Legal Operations Manager, the Legal team, Global Business Services, and the Finance department to optimize the billing workflow, resolve billing issues, and support budgeting and forecasting activities.

Typical Accountabilities:

  • Review and process invoices from external law firms and vendors, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to billing guidelines
  • Monitor and track the status of invoices, payments, and accruals, and follow up with internal and external stakeholders as needed
  • Prepare and maintain billing reports and dashboards, providing insights and recommendations on billing trends, performance, and opportunities for improvement
  • Analyze and reconcile billing data, identifying and resolving discrepancies and errors
  • Assist with the development and implementation of billing policies, procedures, and standard processes, ensuring compliance with internal controls and external regulations
  • Support the legal operations manager and team with budgeting and forecasting activities, providing data and analysis on billing and spending
  • Collaborate with the finance department and other crossfunctional teams on billingrelated matters, such as monthend closing, audits, and tax filings
  • Research and respond to billing inquiries and issues from internal and external customers, and escalate complex or sensitive cases as appropriate

Essential Qualifications/ Skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in billing, accounting, or finance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and billing software, such as CounselLink, Serengeti, Legal Tracker, or similar
  • Strong analytical, problemsolving, and communication skills
  • Detailoriented, organized, and able to prioritize and multitask in a fastpaced environment

Desirable Qualifications/Skills:

  • Experience working in a legal or professional services environment
  • Experience with ebilling, invoice automation, and data visualization tools is a plus
