Job Description

The sales team is seeking an enthusiastic, driven team member. Join a team that is central to sales activities and offers opportunities to make a significant impact for our clients.

As part of the Manulife Investment Management team, the Business Development Associate collaborates with a District Vice President and Business Development Manager in a wholesaling team.

Your role involves partnering with sales teams to achieve targets by understanding sales needs, participating in business development, and working closely with advisors.

You should be a strong communicator, well-organized, collaborative, proactive, problem-solving, and results-focused. Occasional travel is involved for training, meetings, and territory events.

A basic knowledge of retail wealth products like mutual funds, segregated funds, and ETFs will be advantageous for your career at Manulife Investment Management.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Building and maintaining relationships with advisors and internal Manulife partners
  • Providing input for territory business plans
  • Assisting in preparing reports and fund proposals
  • Coordinating corporate and social events
  • Serving as the main contact for partners
  • Scheduling meetings
  • Managing territory budgets
  • Facilitating team meetings
  • Requesting Portfolio Manager access
  • Planning and executing events
  • Managing email distribution lists and campaigns
  • Guiding sales teams on policies and regulations

Job requirements:

  • Post-secondary education
  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or IFIC course an asset
  • Experience in Mutual Fund business or financial industry an asset

Salary & Benefits:

Annual base salary: $49,280.00 CAD - $82,133.33 CAD
