With white label capabilities and enhanced reporting for data analytics and simple reconciliation, MerrcoPayfirma has built deep partnerships and relationships across the cannabis technology and merchant eco-system.

Led by a passionate and engaged leadership team, MerrcoPayfirma is dedicated to platform innovation, industry diversification and geographical expansion. To accomplish these goals, the company is currently looking for an HR Administrator.

The Opportunity

  • Create and lead a solid recruitment plan and assist with the selection of new employees.
  • Conduct external requests for reference checks and verification of employment for new employees.
  • Lead on/offboarding activities for employees.
  • Create, maintain, and manage job descriptions.
  • Manage building security access.
  • Address payroll and benefitsrelated inquiries and assist employees to complete forms.
  • Maintain employee human resources files such that all required documentation, including copies of current professional registration, probationary and annual performance reviews, supervisory reports, and continuing education documentation are included.
  • Schedule, arrange and lead Orientation Sessions.
  • Create and maintain HR policies/procedures.
  • Maintain past employee human resources files and ensure that final performance reviews and/or exit interviews are included.
  • Maintain monthly reports and business presentations.
  • Complete business administrative tasks.
  • Participate and/or lead the Health and Safety Program
  • Participate and/or lead the Culture Club
  • Maintain current knowledge of provincial legislation relating to Employment Standards, Human Rights,
  • Participate in ongoing internal and/or external continuing education activities.
  • Adhere to company Policies and Procedures.
  • Participate in quality activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employees, client and corporate information and discusses same only with appropriate company personnel.
  • Other tasks as requested.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a recognized Human Resources certificate or diploma program.
  • Minimum of two years human resources experience.
  • Ability to be discrete, tactful and maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Ability to handle difficult situations in an objective consistent format.
  • Experience with reporting and presentations.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Solid understanding of HR policies and procedures.
  • Excellent follow through and communication skills.
  • Competency in keyboarding and Windows software; ability to operate all standard office equipment; commitment to continued learning.
