Primary Purpose:

To join our dynamic team and provide exceptional workforce administrative support to the faculty and staff at the University of Saskatchewan.


Nature of Work:

The Workforce Coordinator provides exceptional customer service and administrative support to the faculty and staff at the University of Saskatchewan.

This includes organizing and executing benefits administration, leave administration, and recruitment processes in accordance with university policy and guidelines, applicable collective agreements, and relevant legislation.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, continuous improvement environment, that places a strong emphasis on employee development and collaboration.


Typical Duties or Accountabilities:

  • Benefits administration for new and existing faculty and staff based on eligibility including but not limited to reconciling benefit invoices, enrollment, updating beneficiaries, processing claims, supporting benefit entitlement and contributions for leaves.
  • Provide support for recruitment processes, including reviewing and posting positions, scheduling interviews, generating offer letters, preparing and distributing appointment paperwork, and facilitating employee onboarding.
  • Respond to inquiries from faculty and staff relating to onboarding, benefit plans and workforce/employment enquiries.
  • Ensure best practices and legislation are followed in the areas of privacy, employment, labour and human rights.
  • Work with external benefit provider to troubleshoot and escalate benefit claim issues on behalf of the employee.
  • Organize and administer paid leave entitlements upon internal transfer of employment.
  • Administer transactional processes to support offboarding activities.
  • Liaise with colleagues and stakeholders to provide a seamless customer experience and efficient resolution and/or routing of outstanding recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, benefits and leave enquiries and associated administrative processing.
  • Contribute to customer service and process improvement by providing technology and process feedback to the Manager, Workforce Administration, and internal stakeholders to improve ConnectionPoint administrative services and operations.
  • Work effectively through collaboration with other offices (FCO, SBA's, and Colleges/Units).
  • Perform other related responsibilities as required.

Education:
Relevant post-secondary education is an asset. An equivalent combination of applicable education and experience will be considered.

Experience:

  • Experience with employer group benefits administration
  • Experience with employee recruitment and onboarding processes

  • Proven ability to work independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exemplary attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy in all aspects of job duties.
  • Experience working and contributing to a diverse and inclusive environment.
  • Working knowledge of University of Saskatchewan collective agreements and workflow processes is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience working in case management systems is considered an asset.
