Reporting to the Senior Manager, Transportation East at Markham Head Office, the Transportation Coordinator will handle day to day activities in TMS (Transportation Management System) including monitoring carrier compliance and carrier billing approval.

Plan and coordinate all aspects of transportation, including domestic, International and US freight, using the Sofina TMS. This includes but is not limited to tendering loads and monitoring shipments.
Audit and approve freight invoices, investigate any exceptions, code invoices wherever applicable.
Liaise between customer service, quality assurance, and production scheduling teams as inventory issues arise. Also liaise with 3rd party transport & warehouse providers.
Receive and resolve carrier inquiries/complaints and appropriately escalate issues.
Ensure that all relevant data is properly collected and maintained in TMS in conjunction with their manager.

Provide feedback to management on areas of opportunities to lower transportation costs through payload improvement, load consolidation and asset utilization.

Investigate and address all OS&D reports from transportation providers.
Provide input to Customer Service on all customer penalties and deductions related to on time delivery.

Santa Maria Foods:
Create ASN's (Advanced Shipping Notification) labels for Loblaw and Target, as required.

Experience in a food manufacturing environment is an asset.
Proficiency with MS Office applications.
Strong planning, analytical skills and attention to detail.
