Compensation/Perks:



$74,536.00 per annum, aligned with the BCGEU Faculty Collective Agreement, with incremental increases leading to a maximum of $114, Non-Instructional faculty members enjoy 210 hours of annual vacation, proportionate to FTE, along with paid time off during the holiday season. We provide a highly competitive extended health and dental benefits program. Employees joining this department must participate in the College Pension Plan, with employer-matching contributions.



Role Overview:



Working under the oversight of the Director of International Education, the International Recruitment and Business Development Coordinator spearheads the College's international recruitment and business expansion initiatives. The Coordinator manages relationships with global representatives and agents, cultivates and expands recruitment markets, represents the College at international events, explores international business opportunities, leads marketing and communications efforts, and supports admissions and enrollment processes.

The role involves regional and nationwide travel, as well as international recruitment activities. Occasional non-traditional work hours, including evenings and weekends, may be necessary. The position might also involve contributing to related assignments and projects as delegated.

Requirements:

The role demands the ability to work autonomously, foster collaborative relationships, and contribute effectively as part of a team.

In addition to these qualifications, the ideal candidate should possess:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, international studies, or equivalent;
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in an educational or customer service setting;
  • At least 2 years' experience in international recruitment within Canadian higher education;
  • Track record of establishing and nurturing recruitment or business partnerships in Asia, Africa, and/or Latin America;
  • Familiarity with the landscape of international higher education, both in Canada and abroad;
  • Experience in creating marketing materials, websites, and social media strategies;
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal communication abilities;
  • Proficiency in maintaining professionalism and diplomacy in fast-paced global environments; and
  • Experience in organizing and undertaking international business travel arrangements.

Preference will be given to individuals with the following additional competencies:

  • Proficiency in a second language, such as Chinese, Arabic, or Vietnamese;
  • Additional training in International Education or International Business Development; and
  • Demonstrated experience in developing international programs, initiatives, or agreements in higher education.
