Your role will be to establish a world-class community ideation program using online platforms, virtual events, and design thinking skills.

As the Community Builder, you will collaborate with product teams to gather and contextualize customer ideas and challenges. You will empower product teams to implement customer ideas and communicate progress through synchronous and asynchronous conversations. The program will start small and grow to support our key product lines within the next 5 years. You will play a crucial role in productizing and efficiently expanding the program as it grows.

As a member of the Innovation Community and of the cross-functional Program Office of Community, you will contribute to the overall community strategy and growth, integrating community engagement with innovation work conducted by the product teams.

You will have a team of peers within the Program Office of Community to collaborate with, share best practices, and learn from.


You will:

  • Lead and facilitate conversations within the community to ensure productive ideation discussions. Cultivate innovation, collaboration, and problemsolving by engaging community members in the conceptualization process. Moderate ideas to align with community discussion guidelines, enabling effective communication between product managers and community members.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with technical product managers and customers to promote the adoption of conceptualization tools, processes, and outcomes at scale. This includes establishing structures to support product managers in handling the future community ideation platform's public backlog.
  • Implement strategies to drive communityinitiated conceptualization growth and increase participation. Recruit community members for cocreation events and idea creation activities.
  • Coordinate and deliver projects involving various partners, including product managers, customers, and technical teams.
  • Coordinate virtual cocreation events with product collaborators, using design thinking methodologies. Collaborate with the Community Engagement Program Manager to strategically roll out cocreation events.
  • Supervise the creation of valuable content to engage the community and stimulate discussions about community conceptualization and innovation.
  • Ensure outstanding execution of community ideation initiatives and related projects, collaborating with crossfunctional teams and adhering to established timelines and budgets. Employ agile project management methodologies, identify risks, and lead postproject evaluations to cultivate a collaborative project team environment.
  • Develop and standardize methodologies for scale across diverse product and industry segments. Establish community product engagement guidelines and policies in coordination with crossfunctional stakeholders, ensuring alignment with Siemens' overall SaaS strategies and practices.
  • Monitor, measure, and report on community ideation engagement and outcomes, including cross functional product development metrics.

You are a good fit for this role if you:

  • Deep (>5 years) experience in building robust community ideation programs and SaaS communities.
  • Experience/training related to agile product management.
  • Selfstarter who can thrive in ambiguous situations, including changing timelines and objectives, and deliver on overall program execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to build flexible and scalable programs to meet the needs of internal and external customers.
  • Proficiency in using creative design thinking methods to support facilitation, event planning, and partner management.
  • Strong ability to lead crossfunctional change within an organization through effective program and product management.
  • Understanding of Siemens segments and product offerings or demonstrated enterprise product lifecycle management (PLM) experience (bonus).
