Account Manager, Oil Sands

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Promote SECURE's full portfolio to address a client's existing challenges and future objectives within the Fort McMurray Region
  • Establish and maintain community relationships
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with municipality and local construction contractors
  • Participate and attend Northeastern Alberta Aboriginal Business Association (NAABA) and applicable industry and indigenous functions to promote Secure's capabilities
  • Represent and promote SECURE at industry events and trade shows
  • Drive revenue growth and sustainability by maximizing business relationships/opportunities with existing and potential clients
  • Collaborate with internal operations teams to ensure ongoing account management support is provided to existing clients in order to ensure client satisfaction
  • Communicate with Senior Management through written reports and verbal discussions on business development activities and opportunities
  • Prioritize efforts towards highpotential revenue generating opportunities and collaborate with internal operations teams to create strategies to increase revenue
  • Consistently meet and exceed annual sales targets
  • Utilize technical understanding to develop proposals and presentations for clients
  • Undertake market, geographic, and competitor analysis for existing service lines
  • Frequent travel within the region (up to 60%)
  • Utilize SECURE's CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system throughout the sales cycle to quote customers and manage ongoing opportunities

Qualifications/Competencies

The individual in this role will ideally have:

  • Sales experience in mining, construction, demolition, water treatment, centrifuges, and waste management is considered an asset
  • Excellent selling, communication and strong customer relationship building skills
  • Possess an understanding of the principles, methods, and strategies used for promoting and selling services
  • Solid work ethic, selfmotivated, able to work with very little supervision, and team oriented
  • Must be an effective communicator and possess strong people, presentation, and technical writing skills
  • A strong commitment to safety and understanding of behaviorbased safety culture
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to travel as required
  • Post-Secondary Education in Environmental Sciences, Business Administration, Engineering, Agrology, Biology or a related discipline would be considered an asset but not a requirement. Equivalent industry experience will be considered
