Job Summary

Fort McKay Group of Companies LP is seeking a Labourer to support operations on the Kearl Oil Sands Site. As a Labourer, you will work collaboratively with a crew to perform manual labour tasks, assist with maintenance and upkeep, and provide support to Equipment Operators as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with general maintenance, cleaning, and labour tasks at the office, yard, or on-site.
  • Perform delegated tasks, including transportation of goods and materials, parts pick-ups, and shuttling employees.
  • Act as a spotter for vehicle or equipment moves, and operate a skid steer as required.
  • Participate in toolbox meetings, provide suggestions for improvement, and maintain a safe disposition at all times.
  • Comply with all policies, procedures, and requirements while on-site.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license and satisfactory 3-year Drivers Abstract.
  • Construction industry experience, preferably in a production environment related to Mining, Civil Construction, and Heavy Equipment Operation.
  • CSTS and OSSA or BSO or CSO certification.
  • Focus-oriented, with a strong attention to detail, and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Physically fit, with the stamina to perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Ability to speak, write, and read English.
