Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Foreman to join our team at the Kearl Oil Sands site. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our crew, ensuring the safe and efficient execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and coordinate the activities of the crew operating heavy equipment and labourers.
  • Directly manage and support a large group of employees to meet the requirements of the contract and client.
  • Accountable for safety, quality, schedule, and productivity performance to ensure client compliance.
  • Maintain relationships with clients in the field and provide excellent customer service.
  • Assist the General Foreman with supervisory problem-solving duties and risk assessment.
  • Collaborate with General Foreman to ensure the safe execution of work and compliance with company practices and regulations.
  • Coordinate with shift safety personnel to ensure all HSE initiatives are being followed.
  • Assist in incident or injury investigation and ensure timely resolution.
  • Monitor and assist senior management in the career development of hourly employees.
Requirements
  • Completion of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • A valid Class 5 License and satisfactory 3-year Drivers Abstract.
  • CSTS and CSO/BSO certification, with Ground Disturbance an asset.
  • Knowledge of MS Office, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook, with experience in SAP and/or Ceridian Dayforce an asset.
  • Practical understanding of open pit mine operations and ability to read and interpret blueprints and EWP drawings.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with a commitment to safety and compliance.
