The Opportunity


The System/SCADA Integrator II is responsible for programming and commissioning control systems that bring together multiple sub-systems to meet the operational and regulatory needs of the owner.

The System/SCADA Integrator II will be able to develop and implement logic for assigned project tasks. Requirements including logic development and testing are all day-to-day responsibilities. The System/SCADA Integrator II will ensure tasks are completed on time and within budget.

The System/SCADA Integrator II will be coached/mentored by more experienced staff and reports to a Technical Manager in the department.


What You'll Do

  • PLC/HMI/SCADA program development and testing
  • Creation of technical documentation (control logic, test procedures, user manuals, etc.)
  • PLC/RTU programming with one or more of the following platforms:
  • Allen Bradley
  • Schneider
  • SEL RTAC
  • HMI/SCADA programming with one or more of the following platforms:
  • Wonderware
  • Ignition
  • Kepware/Topserver
  • Supervised onsite commissioning and startup
  • Take ownership of personal quality
  • Responsible for completing tasks and projects in allotted time

What We Expect from You

  • Degree in Engineering or diploma in a related field
  • 24 years Industrial Control System programming experience
  • Renewable energy industry exposure
  • Working knowledge of communication protocols (DNP3, Modbus, etc.) and internet network architectures
  • Effectively uses common, disciplinespecific software
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines by setting priorities
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal/written communication, time management, interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and management
  • Gains knowledge by utilizing tutorials and learning modules as development tools
  • Able to read engineering design drawings, including communication diagrams, logic diagrams, and network schematics
  • Proven experience in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, SQL, Access)
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Up to 25% travel required
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Must possess a valid Canadian Driver's License
