JOB SUMMARY:


Technical Innovation and Operational Support provides operational support services to the Public Works & Environmental Services department, including implementing and maintaining the SAP and Maximo mobile technology solutions, effective management of Service Requests from residents, developers and contractors, and integrity and maintenance of data entry activities into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) as well as reporting.

You are responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to the Roads & Parks Operations Support unit.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High School Graduate entering college/university in the fall

Minimum of 4 months but less than 8 months of related experience is required in client services and clerical/office work

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel & Outlook)
  • SAP
  • Records Management Information System (RMIS)
  • Must be familiar with all applicable health and safety legislation, have knowledge of any potential or actual danger to health or safety in the workplace and have knowledge of appropriate actions to be taken in order to ensure the health and safety of staff in accordance with applicable legislation and City policies and procedures.

  • Ability to work independently
  • Posses tact and discretion with secure documents
  • Follow written and oral directions
  • Work responsibly with mínimal supervision
  • Work effectively under strict deadlines
  • Good communication skills and telephone etiquette
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Work boots are required when the students enter the garage at the work yard
  • Access to reliable, efficient transportation for use in the performance of job duties is required
