Reporting to the Manager, Accounts Payable, the Student - Financial Clerk is responsible for processing computerized invoices on a daily basis, preparing and posting invoices for non-inventory or non-shippable products or services, reviewing invoices to ensure invoice accuracy and maintaining a proper filing system of invoices and supporting documents.


Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program related to Accounting
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles
  • Ability to prepare daily bank deposits
  • Knowledge of computerized accounting system
  • Ability to prepare vendor payment runs and facilitate the signing thereof, as well as initiating and entering wire payments
  • Knowledge of spreadsheet packages such as Excel
  • Ability to respond to staff and customer inquiries in regards to invoices and billing problems
  • Able to Identify and ensure all sales taxes (GST/HST/QST) are coded
  • Knowledge on how to complete employee travel expense claims
  • Bilingualism (English and French) preferred
