Full time TERM position for Comprehensive School Health Behavioural Specialist. Duties to commence September 5, 2023 until June 21, 2024.

The Behavioral Specialist is committed to furthering the District goals for student success in an inclusive, safe and caring environment and believes that collaboration is key for growth as an educator.

Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to engage professionally with colleagues, families and communities.
  • Ability to plan and implement effective teaching and learning practices for students experiencing severe social/emotional difficulties.
  • Ability to shape a safe and positive learning environment for students and engage with families to assist them to support learning plans for their child.
  • Ability to build learner and leadership capacity at the school level
  • Demonstrated understanding of the impact of effective assessment practices.

Minimum Qualifications
-
Bachelor of Education.
-
Five years successful experience in the education system.
-
Experience with behavioral therapies would be considered an asset.

Travel and virtual work is required for this position.
Applicants without the required qualifications may be considered in accordance with Clause d) of the provincial collective agreement.
