About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Flight Specialist to join our team at NL Health Services. As a Medical Flight Specialist, you will be responsible for providing quality, safe, and skilled care to patients requiring inter-facility transport or at the scene of traumatic or acute medical incidents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including advanced assessment and intervention of medical and traumatic conditions
  • Use critical thinking and professional judgment within your scope of practice and within a medical control system
  • Promote and maintain quality and safety standards, and ensure maintenance of clinical proficiencies and competencies
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited/recognized diploma or degree program in health care or an equivalent combination of advanced training and experience
  • Certification in CPR, ACLS, BTLS, PALS, and NRP
  • Professional registration to practice in Newfoundland and Labrador
  • A minimum of three (3) years current experience as an Emergency Care or Critical Care Nurse, or accredited Advanced Care Paramedic or Critical Care Paramedic
