Position Description:

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Provide accounting and management support for Exploration projects by completing the following tasks at the request of the Exploration Manager or Project Leads:
  • On-board vendors, set up purchase orders and process invoices for payment.
  • Assist with budget tracking by reviewing project yeartodate expenditure statements and flagging potential issues.
  • Submit monthly accruals.
  • Complete and submit expense reports.
  • Provide logístical support to the Canadian Exploration team:
  • Assist Exploration manager and Project Leads in securing fit-for-purpose contractors.
  • Complete travel bookings, including airfare, hotel, and car rentals.
  • Set up and organize venues for meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
  • Act as the Safety Check-In liaison for field teams operating independently in remote areas.
  • Audit monthly timesheets.
  • Review reports to be provided to authorities and partners to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Assist in organizing community engagement event logistics.
  • Summarize and distribute meeting minutes as required.
  • Assist in implementing Barrick's Canada Exploration Community Investment Strategy.
  • Assist with other tasks at the request of the Exploration Manager, Project Leads, or Indigenous Engagement Specialist.
  • Is highly organized and able to work under pressure.
  • Is highly proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Experience working with SAP software solutions considered an asset.
