Position Summary

Under the general direction of the Senior Manager, Human Resources, this position is responsible for the delivery of effective Human Resources Management practices and for the overall management of established company-wide human resources/talent management programs. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.

Key Accountabilities
  1. Provides leadership, direction, mentoring, performance objectives and delivery of performance evaluations for the HR team and implements HR strategic plans as directed
  2. Provides HR advice and support to managers and team members
  3. Manages programs such as OH&S, recruitment, attendance, on-site orientations, etc.
  4. Manages the Leave of Absence files (MLOA, LTD, bereavement, maternity etc.) including return to work program and processes
  5. Leads investigations into team member Relations matters
  6. Supports and coaches Management through effective involuntary termination processes
  7. Facilitates coaching sessions, provides input for conflict resolution
  8. Assists with training implementations and deliveries
  9. Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders: Senior Management, Management and team members
  10. Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  11. Manages other initiatives as required
Education and Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma; post-secondary education in HR or a suitable combination of education and experience

HR Designation: an asset

Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in human resources; 3 years in management

Skills: Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service-oriented communication; computer literacy in MS Office and JDE; HRIS experience an asset; ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
