Overall Purpose:


Power To Be is a social impact organization that creates access to nature for youth, families, and adults living with cognitive, physical, financial, and social barriers.

We support the discovery of limitless abilities through nature-based programs. Working with Power To Be is an opportunity to be part of impactful and lasting societal change.
The Facilities & Assets Administrator will be a hub of information and a resource to the team.

This includes coordinating Power To Be worksite logistics and asset management including fleet maintenance, liaising with third party vendors, and ensuring the building and maintenance schedule tracked accurately.

This role supports the staff team with administrative and technical needs, as required, and requires the successful applicant to be resourceful, dynamic, organized, and accountable.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Facilities & Assets

  • Provide contract coordination for outdoor facilities, building maintenance and capital projects
  • Maintains assets inventory trackers and depreciation schedules
  • Schedules vehicle and trailer fleet routine maintenance including insurance and vehicle inspections
  • Organize and schedule maintenance contractors and service providers
  • Works with the Operations Lead to track facilities, insurance, operating permits, leases, and other relevant information
  • Monitor and assign Service Requests & Scheduled Maintenance
  • Coordinate volunteer sitebased work groups
  • Works with the Director of Facilities and Assets to update standard operating procedures, emergency procedures and other relevant documentations
  • Responsible for purchasing maintenance supplies
  • Organize and schedule the Capital Project Committee, Catalyst for Good and Facilities and Assets team meetings including agenda and action tracking
  • Occasional assistance with grounds and building maintenance and projects
Operations

  • Works collaboratively with other departments to accomplish shared tasks on taskforces, committees and working groups
  • Observe or support a Power To Be program once a quarter
  • Support community and fundraising events as directed
  • Maintain brand standards when communicating with stakeholders
  • Assist the Volunteer Lead with volunteer recognition and internal engagement of Facilities & Assets volunteers.
Perform other related duties, as required.

Particular Working Conditions:

Requirements:

  • As per the Ministry of Justice requirements for organizations that work with vulnerable populations, A Criminal Record Check (CRC) and Criminal Record Review Act Check (CRRA) will be required.
  • Possess a valid Class 5 BC Driver's License with a clear drivers abstract
  • Due to the remote work location, you must have access to reliable transportation
  • Proof of full vaccination against Covid19

Assets:

  • Possess a valid Class 4 BC Driver's License
  • Experience working in a nonprofit or outdoor recreation
  • Previous experience with facilities maintenance or construction.
  • Certifications related to facilities maintenance and/or project management

Compensation:
$50, ,000
