Currently pursuing a high growth strategy, they are seeking an AVP, Corporate Development to lead this highly transactive function.

The AVP will lead a team focused on developing and executing the organization's acquisition strategy and competitive analysis function, including M&A transactions across multiple strategies and geographies.

This role will interface extensively with both internal and external senior stakeholders including the executive.

The ideal candidate is a strategic and innovative thinker with 7+ years of experience in a fast-paced, transactional role including M&A, transaction services and private equity.

They will have exceptional presentation and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with people at varying levels of the organization.

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned transaction leader to join an active and rapidly growing organization in a highly visible and strategic leadership role.

Role ResponsibilitiesLead the sourcing and execution of complex and impactful transactions and projectsOversee acquisition strategy development with the Board of Directors and ELTDevelop financial models, including pro forma financials, return analysis and accretion/dilution metrics and conduct the assessment/benchmarking of industry/competitive analysis Oversee ad hoc analysis and reports across numerous business lines that support executive business and strategic decisionsUndertake the monitoring and performance of the investment portfolio Partner closely with cross-functional teams on due diligence and project managementDesired QualificationsUndergraduate degree in a related field of study (e.g.

finance), MBA and/or Masters in Finance/Accounting CFA, CPA and/or CBV7+ years of experience in corporate strategy, corporate development or investment banking roles with a proven record of the M&A lifecycle deal executionSophisticated financial modelling skills, valuations of public and private companies, Proven experience with negotiating transaction agreements, and managing due diligence/acquisition strategy development across numerous functions within an organizationExcellent communication/presentation skills (both written and verbal) with experience presenting to senior leadersAbility to manage high-performing teams through complex transactionsAbility to produce and present business cases for complex financial transactions to non-financial audiencesProven ability to develop meaningful relationships with potential counterparties and partnersPlease note that at present, legal eligibility to work in Canada is a prerequisite for this role.
