**About the Role**

Sun Life Financial is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Vice President to join our Corporate Development team in Toronto. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving the company's growth and expansion through strategic partnerships, acquisitions, and divestitures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all stages of a project's life cycle, collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners to identify and evaluate potential opportunities.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify suitable acquisition targets, evaluating their strategic fit and potential for growth.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive due diligence plans, working closely with deal teams to mitigate risks and ensure successful outcomes.
  • Contribute to internal projects and strategic initiatives, providing expertise and guidance to drive business growth.
  • Prepare and present complex financial analysis and qualitative assessments to the Executive Team and Board of Directors.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or corporate development, with a strong track record of success.
  • Undergraduate degree in Finance or Commerce, with a desirable MBA, CFA, or CBV designation.
