Position Overview:


As the Amenity/Recreation Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating a wide range of recreational and amenity-based programs and activities for our community members.

You will play a crucial role in creating a positive and enjoyable living experience for our residents while promoting a sense of community and wellness.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Development:

  • Create, plan, and implement a diverse range of recreational and amenity programs catering to residents of all ages and interests.
  • Collaborate with residents and community members to gather feedback and suggestions for program improvement.

Event Coordination:

  • Coordinate and oversee special events, workshops, and activities, ensuring they align with community needs and objectives.
  • Handle all aspects of event planning, including safety, logistics, promotion, and execution.

Amenity Management:

  • Maintain and manage community amenities such as fitness centers, and common areas.
  • Oversee maintenance schedules, cleanliness, and safety protocols.

Community Engagement:

  • Foster a sense of community by actively engaging with residents and addressing their concerns or needs.
  • Establish and maintain open communication channels to ensure residents' voices are heard.

Marketing and Promotion:

  • Develop marketing materials and strategies to promote amenities and recreational programs.
  • Utilize digital and traditional marketing platforms to reach a wide audience.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure all amenities and activities comply with Ontario condominium bylaw and standards.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to protect residents and staff.

Qualifications:

  • Working toward a bachelor's degree in Recreation Management, Hospitality, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in planning and executing recreational programs or events.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Availability evenings and weekends, to accommodate community events.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software is a plus.

Job Type:
Part-time

Salary:
$17.00-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

  • English not required

Schedule:

  • Evening shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Toronto, ON M5A 0M9: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
