Toronto, Ontario, Canada Child Development Institute Full time

Children are at the front and centre of what we do; they are the foundation of our purpose and the basis for our evidence-driven strategy.

Our mission is to transform the lives of children, youth and their families by developing and delivering innovative, research-based mental health and early learning programs.

At the Child Development Institute (CDI), we are passionate about helping our communities' most vulnerable members and their caregivers.

Joining us now is a rewarding opportunity to be part of an organization that is built on a legacy of more than 100 years of helping children and families.

Recognized as a leader and model for measurement-based impact, we are client-centred, family-centred, and data-informed.

We are a place where professionals grounded in mental health, care, and well-being of infants, children and youth, come together in collaboration, learning and inclusion.

As a multiservice organization delivering social, emotional, and behavioural counselling services, early childhood education, learning disabilities and mental health services, and family violence services, we address the whole person from when they begin their life.

Every child and family that reaches out to us is unique, and we value and embrace their individuality. With their trust in us, we guide children and families along a supportive journey. It is an often difficult path and simultaneously the most rewarding experience for providers, children and families.

You may be a Marketing Specialist looking to take the step up into a Manager role, or you are already a Manager looking for a change.

You are deeply committed to the nonprofit world and align with our mission to create a future in which all families can access inclusive, responsive, evidence-based services that make a meaningful, tangible difference to children's mental health, early learning, and development.

You will assist in the development of visual and narrative content marketing, including email and fundraising campaign initiatives to attract and retain donors, blog content for the website in partnership with clinical leads for subject matter expertise and insights, and marketing content aimed at diverse communities to educate and inform on our programs and services.

Align our branding.

You will establish consistent and relevant messaging across all marketing collateral and ensure all digital and printed materials, internal and external facing, adhere to our new brand guidelines.

You will lead the development and implementation of marketing strategies for signature and partnership events, reinforcing and nurturing the CDI brand.

You have experience in marketing, communications or public relations, ideally in the not-for-profit sector.

You have demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the design and execution of marketing, communications, events and public relations strategies and are comfortable with data analysis and reporting.

You can create genuine connections with various audiences, adhering to brand standards while adapting your messaging to fit different formats and purposes.

You stay up to date with trends and developments in print, video, and digital marketing, social media, and communications.

You are a dedicated and flexible team player able to interact with team members and colleagues at all levels of the organization with a deep respect and appreciation of diverse backgrounds and experiences.

The technical skills.
You have expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite and Mailchimp. Bonus points if you have worked with Drupal and WordPress.

As a condition of employment, you are required to provide updated COVID vaccinations in compliance with the CDI Mandatory Vaccination Policy.

Fostering positive transformations in mental health for over a century, we are a world-class leader trusted in helping children, youth and families through a wide range of evidence-informed services to build lasting change.
