The Marketing Assistant role is a fast paced and demanding position that requires high level of efficiency and effectiveness. Tight deadlines and multi-layered project co-ordination requires a sharp individual with superb communication skill and someone who can handle multi-tasking at extreme levels. This role isn't for anyone who can't cope with a high degree of pressure.

Reporting to the Chief Creative Director, the Marketing Assistant is a tech-savvy, persuasive communicator who can bridge the gap between the product and services we offer and the value we bring to our customers and their campaigns. A powerful story-teller to help develop marketing initiatives and creative solutions for complex multi-faceted projects while clarifying unclear matters and articulating project objectives through highly convincing communication methods in both spoken and written form.

The MA works directly with the Chief Creative Director to create a result focused team environment among various parties involved in all projects and ensure that projects exceed the high expectations set by all stake holders. You will often be amongst "C-level" executives and industry leading professionals.

From estimating and job scoping to scheduling and co-ordination to execution, the MA role require at least 3 years of agency experience dealing with various communication mediums including Print, Web, Advertising and other design driven initiatives such as presentation centres and trade-show booths. The ideal candidate should have a firm understanding of design processes and various production factors and articulate creative rationale and strategy.

The MA position offers an opportunity to experience the full breath of design and branding projects while actively participating in large scale projects; putting your skills to the test. Beyond experience, this role is suited for those who are competitive with a vision to move up into a Marketing Director role.

In this challenging role, you will review materials and information and collaborate with the Chief Creative Director to determine the various production factors, concept(s) and cutting edge designs. You should have experience in translating and extending marketing and advertising concepts into project briefs and schedules. Working within tight schedules/timeframes and activity coordination should be second nature.

You will be called upon to present project road maps and co-ordinate all aspects of client/vendor side requirements and production related duties. Concept to completion you will utilize our project management software to guide you through each project while creating work in progress reports. You will support/assist the creative team on variety of projects related activities as required.

The ideal candidate must poses a keen eye for high design standards as well as the ability communicate complex and sensitive business matters to executives. We are looking for someone who is motivated and want to aspire to higher roles.

Qualifications:

Excellent presentation skills and comfortable speaking in client/project meetings
Brand development and campaign planning experience
Research, organize and implement effective marketing strategies
Project scoping and ability to articulate design intent
Organized and process driven
Punctual and timely
Knowledgeable with branding and design
Understands resource allocation
Experience preparing proposals and estimates

Other:

Min. BA education with a focus on marketing/advertising/communication or other.

3+ years of experience working in and advertising/marketing/design agency (preferred)

Demonstrate strong initiative and sound problem solving skills

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Ability to multi task while meeting deadlines in a fast paced environment

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across various functions

Positive with an upbeat attitude

Expert in word and powerpoint (or other)

Adobe CS5/CS6/CC experience an asset
