About the role:

As the Marketing Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting in the planning and execution of all Marketing strategies.

This is a unique opportunity for an individual who has exceptional communication and organizational skills, with an interest in Public Relations and Social Media.


Responsibilities:

Media, Affiliate and Influencer Relations

  • Create and maintain media, affiliate and influencer lists.
  • Coordinate the influencer, affiliate and media outreach process by representing OAK + FORT as a brand ambassador.
  • Produce monthly influencer and affiliate performance reports and track daily performance.
  • Assist in the management of the Marketing gifting and inventory process.
  • Collaborate with our PR agency on all opportunities and efforts.
  • Utilize available technologies used for influencers and affiliates to improve team efficiency, experience and reporting.

Social Media

  • Assist in the planning and management of all OAK + FORT social media accounts.
  • Assist in the creation of social media content.
  • Assist in the development and execution of the social media marketing strategy.
  • Utilize available technologies used for social media marketing to improve team efficiency, experience and reporting.
  • Collaborate with our Creative team on all opportunities and efforts as required.
  • Produce monthly program performance reports and track weekly performance.
  • Collaborate with the Graphic Design and eCommerce teams on all opportunities and efforts.

Other

  • Identify and ideate new marketing opportunities to develop and advance the OAK + FORT brand.
  • Stay informed of current and changing trends in fashion, marketing and public relations.
  • Assist in the general activities of the Marketing department as required.
  • Perform other duties or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Postsecondary education (diploma/degree) in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or Social Media is preferred.
  • Proficient in all social media platforms: TikTok, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, Facebook (WeChat and RED are an asset).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Photoshop/InDesign.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Ability to communicate with industry contacts comfortably and represent OAK + FORT in a professional and polished manner.
  • Exceptional time management skills, including the ability to prioritize, manage and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Results driven, energetic, resourceful and proactive with superior interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of the influencer and media industries are an asset.
  • Existing media or influencer relationships are an asset.
  • Knowledge in fashion media landscape, both print and digital, are an asset.
  • Experience working in the fashion retail industry is an asset.
