Your Opportunity:

Description:

As a Pharmacist I, you will be responsible for the safe, effective and efficient preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical services. You will manage medication therapy for patients, both initially and on an ongoing basis. In addition, you will provide assessment, intervention and resolution of potential or actual drug-related problems and oversee activities related to compounding and packaging.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Strong verbal communication and public speaking skillsKnowledge of organizational/clinical workflows and practice pertaining to inpatient pharmacy processes, specifically parenteral nutrition,Knowledge of Abacus and Epic Willow,Strong interpersonal skills,Ability to learn new material quickly and adapt to changeThe ability to build rapport easily,Comfort with technology,Strong team player,Proven leadership skills required, Ability to critically think and solve problems quickly and efficiently,Approachable, team player, mentoring ability requiredAbility to prioritize,Strong listening skills,Ability to facilitate group discussions Be patient and calm when faced with multiple distractions and problems that may ariseAbility to think systematically and critically to improve quality, realize improved outcomes and engage others in same,Ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching and mentoring, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others,Experience in planning, communication, facilitation, and coordination of multiple projects/operational work package.

Preferred Qualifications:

Provided leadership pertaining to site parenteral nutrition, including implementing required changes in Abacus (pump)Significant experience in problem solving, concerns/conflict resolution, and negotiationAbility to work independently (escalating in complex situations) and collaborativelyAbility to promote the change process in a positive manner.Ability to use Microsoft Office tools including Word, SharePoint, Visio, etc.
