We are looking for a Logistics Specialist to join our busy and growing team_

Job Duties (include, but not limited to):_

  • Receiving and data entry of customer orders
  • Maintain vendor and carrier compliance folders and updated contact information
  • Maintain all commercial vehicle equipment maintenance records
  • Tracking carriers' performance in KPI's and score carding
  • Provide "Carrier Confirmations" to support order details and rates
  • Collection of POD's to support accurate and timely invoice submissions to customers
  • Work jointly with invoicing team to support Brokered Freight invoicing
  • Act as contact person for all customers quote & rates verification, extra charges and order entry
  • Good geographic working knowledge of North American city centers and locations for accurate and realistic estimations for order delivery
  • Competency and experience in pricing and quoting transportation services
  • Work closely with Western Canadian logistics team to support customer order coverage
  • Other related duties as required or assigned

Required Knowledge/Skills:_

  • Understanding of transportation regulations and border controls as well as shipping documents
  • Working knowledge of Transportation Management Systems, TDG and WHMIS
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint with exceptional data entry skills
years' transportation related experience required

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Good telephone manner
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Knowledge of Hours of Service
  • Proven ability to work in a time and pressure sensitive environment

Working Conditions:_

  • Very fast paced and busy environment
  • Required to be "on call" evenings and weekends for priority or emergency situations
  • Travel may be required

Salary starts at $50,000 per year but may be negotiable depending upon experience.
