CAD/PLM Administrator Junior
As part of a passionate team of experts, you will be encouraged to share your ideas, talents, and knowledge while working alongside the Price Industries product development teams in a collaborative environment to develop, deploy, and support our next-generation CAD software used across the company.
- Work with the CAD team to support:
- Responsible for administering Price CAD software, including Solid Edge, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Revit.
- Supply technical support for all CAD/PLM software.
- Serve as super user for Price Group of Companies engineering teams.
- Work with the business systems team to organize and implement installations, upgrades and subsequent training for all CAD/PLM users.
- Document and communicate work instructions.
- Work with the Engineering Services Trainer to evaluate new software versions and identify training opportunities.
- Assist with setting up file structures and nomenclature standards.
- Maintain software inventory and licenses.
- Best practice development & adoption:
- Assist with implementing and enforcing CAD/PLM standards by working closely with the business systems, engineering, and operation teams.
- Put manual and system processes in place to ensure data integrity.
- Document and maintain content location and ensure all teams use their right revisions.
- Assist users in finding drawing data and / or conversation of data into other formats.
- Develop and improve workflows and CAD/PLM processes to accommodate various groups' needs, improve efficiency, or improve communication.
- Automate standardized processes through workflows, templates and other means.
- B.S or Technology Diploma in Mechanical Engineering required
- Computer Science or Information Technology experience is considered an asset.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in supporting engineering software systems.
- 2 5 years of experience in Solid Edge, Revit, AutoCAD, and Solid Works.
- Demonstrated ability in supporting engineering systems software including PDM & PLM software solutions considered an asset
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize aligning with the department and corporate goals in mind.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and tactically while acting independently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical information.
- Proven ability to conduct presentations.
- Manufacturing experience would be considered an asset.
