Role: Mechanical Designer/Engineer

Location: North York, Toronto

Salary: $55k-$65k + (Based on Experience)

Our client in North York is looking to add a skilled Mechanical designer to their team in this city

This innovative firm has a team of 30 and is seeking to hire a junior to intermediate designer to join their diverse projects within the GTA. They have achieved noteworthy certification for LEED Gold for various projects in the area.

Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of hands-on experience in mechanical design in the consulting building sector
  • Demonstrate a strong drive for career growth and professional enhancement
  • Ability to tackle challenges and navigate through complex situations under tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD - either through education or professional exposure
  • Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing systems, and development of layout schematics
  • Comfortable collaborating with a diverse team of professionals
Responsibilities:
  • Execute assigned tasks by the Project Manager within set timelines
  • Comply with AutoCAD and AutoCAD MEP standards
  • Collaborate with other teams to assess drawings
  • Review, modify, and enhance drawings
  • Conduct duct and pipe sizing in alignment with office protocols
  • Verify mechanical service layouts for conflicts with other building components like structure, ceilings, and lighting
  • Conduct mechanical load computations
  • Support the Principals or Project Managers with any necessary tasks for the firm's success.
