Job Description

Mission

Our Project Controls team is expanding and recruiting for its Montreal and Quebec City offices. Our opportunity will allow you to evolve within major projects and to play an expert consulting role with the project team and customers in project planning and cost control. PCOs will be called upon to implement project control strategies and apply them to various projects in infrastructure, industry, transportation and/or building.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement cost control strategies and methods within projects
  • Provide support to project management in the development of the detailed work plan, codifications and work breakdown structure (WBS)
  • Budget planning, monitoring, control and closing of project costs
  • Prepare and monitor master and detailed schedules, incorporate changes and analyze impacts
  • Establish and analyze the critical path. Suggest schedule optimization measures to the customer.
  • Communicate budget and schedule tracking to the project team
  • Monitor, analyze and communicate discrepancies and propose corrective actions
  • Control and account for all invoices and follow up on project approvals and payments
  • Establish and analyze cost and schedule trends
  • Evaluate and propose solutions to minimize the impact of deviations;
  • Prepare the project cash flow curve and update it periodically
  • Validate supplier, subcontractor and contractor schedules based on contractual requirements and project objectives
  • Produce monthly project cost control and progress reports
  • Ensure regular communication with project managers, project teams and customers
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Master's degree in Project Management
  • Over 12 years' experience in the role of PCO and similar functions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and MS Project
  • Fluency in spoken and written French
  • Acute sense of organization, analysis, initiative, versatility, rigor and autonomy
  • Ability to analyze data and use various software programs
  • Rigor and consistency in its interventions
  • Interpersonal skills and team spirit
  • Committed to quality and detail
