Reporting to the Director, External Relations, Marketing, and Corporate Communications, the Manager, Marketing is accountable for championing all marketing initiatives for Edmonton Airports.

This includes the design, development, delivery and execution of campaigns, programs and solutions that align with YEG's business strategy, incorporating current marketing best practices, internally and externally.

You will have overall responsibility to lead, support or manage marketing plans or campaigns for airlines and our air service awareness, as well as for our cargo, real estate, parking, concessions, loyalty and ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) programs.

This individual will:

  • Coach and develop direct reports by instilling a culture of purpose and excellence, using their extensive work experience to educate and uplift team capabilities
  • Monitor and prioritize workflows and scheduling in a way that proactively prepares the team for success
  • Seize opportunities and emerging priorities and integrate those deliverables into short and mediumterm plans by working collaboratively across all business units
  • Ensure deliverables of direct report positions are aligned with business objectives and are on time and budget
  • Develop budgets and forecasts for longterm resource planning
  • Ensure the delivery of optimal results against appropriate performance metrics
  • Identify the necessary budget requirements for the provision of Marketing and manage to other business unit budgets as necessary.
  • Develop, implement and review Marketing processes to ensure compliance to policies, standards, regulatory requirements and ensure mitigation of risks.
  • Manage key projects as well as being a stakeholder on all projects relating to brand awareness, partnerships (marketing and affiliate), and client engagement from a vertical marketing perspective.
  • Deliver timely analyses of campaign results and program changes that lead to improved program efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Create and maintain strong relationships between clients, internal marketing and communications and YEG stakeholder groups.
  • Strategize and conduct costbenefit analyses for sponsorships and media purchasing. Negotiate with suppliers and account executives as required.
  • Assess message impacts through research methodologies and professional judgment.

Special Requirements:

You Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in business preferably with a specialization in Marketing or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 10+ years marketing experience
  • Technical proficiency and professional judgment
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic marketing plans
  • Strong attention to detail resulting in errorfree, highquality output
  • Able to focus effectively on strategic tasks, run multiple projects concurrently, and meet multiple tight deadlines
  • Experienced negotiator, able to manage a variety of creative professionals and consultants (media, print, designers, developers, writers)
  • Advanced knowledge of MSOffice, including Word and PowerPoint Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience developing digital graphics and/or video content
  • Skilled in employee recruitment, retention, performance and evaluation, and development
  • Mediating intergroup relationships and conflict resolution
  • Demonstrated ability to manage employees on a daily basis to ensure objectives are achieved within set timelines
  • Demonstrated capability to manage budgets, monitor expenditures and to provide financial reports
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and multitask in a highpressure environment with strong attention to detail.
  • Must have a "can do" attitude and willingness to contribute to a team environment.
