First Response, a Canadian business unit under Ambipar Response.

WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE:

  • Posting jobs through various job boards, updating and reposting as necessary;
  • Daily resume screening and forwarding to the appropriate hiring manager;
  • Updating and maintaining employee records (i.e. documents, wage increases, title changes, completed performance evaluations);
  • Conducting the HR orientation and systems training for new hires;
  • Preparing Performance Appraisal documents for employees;
  • Updating the phone list and employee signatures when requested or for onboarding new hires;
  • Assisting in developing and updating document control for the HR department (procedures, job descriptions, performance evaluation, and other document templates);
  • Supporting staff and managers with confidential employee matters while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality;
  • Benefit Program Management updating employee changes, and assisting with STD/LTD claims, etc.;
  • Revising and updating policies as required;
  • Creating/developing HR initiatives;
  • Attending divisional meetings to engage and collaborate with divisional managers on HR initiatives;
  • Providing assistance and administrative support to executive team members as needed;
  • Any other duties associated with this role.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 23 years of relevant HR experience or office administration experience OR equivalent education background (Diploma or Bachelor)
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent collaborator ability to work in a team and independently
  • A highlevel of confidentiality
  • Strong administration skills, including data entry
  • Creative and innovative thinker
  • Ability to be understanding, empathetic and relatable
  • Strong skills using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, etc.)

$24.00-$27.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
