We have an exciting hybrid role located at Grimco Dartmouth. Do you have a technical background with a talent for sales and customer excellence? We are in search of a permanent, full time Sales Representative/Field Service Technician.

Sales Responsibilities:

  • Proactively call existing customers to research trends/needs, relationship management, promote current product specials, followup, etc. (approximately 30 calls per day).
  • Actively seek opportunities to grow existing accounts as well as generate new business.
  • Enter orders, customer information, and purchasing trends into our various computer systems (CloudSuite Distribution ERP, CRM, Website etc.).
  • Achieve weekly, quarterly, monthly, and annual volume and margin sales and GP goals. (May include managing and being responsible for a specific target and territory)

Technician Responsibilities:

  • Deliver post start up customer support relating to equipment operation and process performance.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on company product lines.
  • Provide advice in returning equipment to optimal performance.
  • Inspect, install, troubleshoot, replace parts, and refurbish equipment to ensure equipment quality and performance to specifications.
  • Responsible for technical advice to customers on methods to optimize equipment operation and process performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment operation and process problems reported by customers.
  • Prepare reports documenting troubleshooting and warranty activities.
  • Participate in the development of corrective actions improving equipment operation and performance.
  • Travel as required to resolve operational or performance issues.
  • Run onsite and remote diagnostics and support customers.
  • Develop and maintain excellent customer relations, be first line resource for customer questions or concerns.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in equipment installation/troubleshooting/technical support.
  • Completed Post Secondary Education from an accredited college/university.
  • Certifications for various HP and Epson hardware/ software an asset.
  • Valid Driver's License and Personal Vehicle for travel to customer locations for service calls. (Car Allowance and Gas Card provided for work purposes)
  • Valid Passport and ability to travel throughout Canada and the United States.
  • Previous experience with ERP and CRM systems.
  • Advanced/fluent skill levels of French or other language are always a plus.
  • Previous experience in sales, marketing, or customer service considered an asset.

  • Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both customers and suppliers.

  • Confidence and positive attitude are a must Goaloriented and competitive in sales/marketing activities.

New to the Sign Industry? What is Training Like?

  • 3 weeks of focused training time followed by ongoing support by team members
  • Majority of time training is focused on: products, computer systems, phones/customers, sales/service, purchasing, logistics, web store, marketing, safety, accounting, human resources, and reports.
  • Split between breakout session and handson learning environment.
